Caranzalem

"Caranzalem" It is the result of the work of musical experimentation between two young people who were born and raised in the same city in northern Spain. (Zaragoza) and they live in the south (Seville) and that fate makes them cross in 2013 in India where they have the opportunity to play together for the first time. In Seville a friendship grows between them that continues its journey through new worlds, this time, through music.

Music Box is his first album. In it they capture the music that excites them: songs from here and there that allow you to imagine one and a thousand trips. From an Argentine tango to a piece from Eastern Europe, passing through Peru, Finland, Cuba...

The recording was made in the summer of 2016 in Ponteareas, Galicia, with the sound technician and producer Rubén Díez, and the collaboration of percussionist Antonio Montiel. Musicians such as John Conde and Jaime Serradilla have also participated.

For Elena Escartín and Pilar Almalé, duo components, this album is something very special, a total work of art that tells a story:

A music box. On the counter of a store. And the shop hidden in a corner of a street and the street, in a lost city somewhere in the world. Who walks through your door looking for something: a gadget, a desire, a flavour, a memory, A hope; something that has long been forgotten, something you long for, something you fear, something waiting. On the old counter, between timeless objects, between aromas and pastel colors, the carved wood resists the attacks of a time without time. A blue velvet on which two puppets look at the horizon: one holds a bow and a viola da gamba between his legs, the other, a flute on the lips.
